I'm "Valentina" or "Vee Vee" for short. My foster mom named me that because I am all soft, shiny black fur but for a white, heart-shaped patch of fur on my breastplate. (She tried to get a picture of it - but I just couldn't stop squirming long enough.) I was rescued by a nice BARC volunteer who found me one morning in the middle of the street with a too tight collar and a rope twisted around me. Life is SO much better now! I'm a Lab-mix and probably about 4 months old. I'm crate trained during the day (with a potty/play break at lunch time) and even through the night. I'm almost perfectly potty trained (using a doggie door) - 100% when I need to go #2 and close to 100% on the piddles... I try though. Even at such a young age, I'm REALLY smart about commands and rules - I hear "no" and "down" a lot and know what those mean. I LOVE to play with my foster sister Stella - we can play for hours - so I'd do really well with other young bodied/minded four-legged friends. I think I'd also do well as a running buddy for someone - I'm a fast runner. I really love stuffed animals and tug-of-war with Stella is my favorite! I also like to gather them all up on my dog bed and then try to play with all of them at once which is tougher than it sounds. I also am getting very good at fetch. I also like to play in the water - maybe when it gets a little warmer. When I'm not playing with other dogs and toys, I like to be held and nuzzle your neck while I chill out. I'm also on my way to be an excellent burglar alarm - I'll let you know if I hear a noise outside that shouldn't be there. My foster mom says that's a good thing!
