Meet Tootsie!

Tootsie’s mom had to move into emergency assisted living and got left behind. The lady’s son was hopeful his mom would return so he did not want to get rid of his mom’s dogs but he also did not have the ability to care for them so he simply put them in the yard and went by once a day to check on them...not what Tootsie was accust omed to.

Her senior canine brother passed away and now Tootsie is all alone. Her determination to get help lead her to escape her yard and find one of our amazing volunteers who reached out to see if we could help.

Tootsie will be going to the vet this weekend to get updated on vaccines and get tested for heartworms. We do not know her heartworm status as of today, 5/14/20. We guess that she is around 4 years old. She gets along with everyone, other dogs, cats and kids.
