We have a special request for this darling girl. Meet SweetPea! She is a 29-pound Sharpei mix. She was found starving in an office complex, behind a dumpster. She is just skin and bones, was shaking, and could barely lift her head. She was found with a collar and leash around her neck, but the vet believes she was just stuck in a back yard and used for breeding. Poor baby.
By the before pictures, you can see how sad and pitiful she was, but look at her now!! New pictures attached!
SweetPea is hanging out at our vet, but she is scared and needs a foster home ASAP! Because she is scared, we recommend she go into a home with no children. She appears to be good with other dogs, but
we worry about her resource guarding her human since she needs TLC so badly, so she
would benefit being the only dog so she can get some human touch and attention.
SweetPea is extremely sweet and gentle. She is frightened in new situations and would just need a person with a lot of love and patience to help her feel secure. When she gets visits, she is a happy little girl, even walking in the rain. She walks well on a leash and is just interested in everything going on around her. She loves being loved on and loves being scratched on her chest. She will just stand there with that "I've-died-and-gone-to-heaven-please-please-don't-stop" look.
Sweetpea weighs 29 pounds and needs to gain some weight.
No doubt, SweetPea totally lives up to her name!
