Meet Sweet Pea!

Sweet Pea was found by a police officer wandering the streets and then brought in to BARC. She was found with a leash tied around her neck and it appears like she had been tied up somewhere but managed to get free. Poor Sweet Pea was nothing but a skeleton with skin, and weighed only 17 pounds at about a year old. She had open sores on her skin and the pads on all her feet had sores/burns on them so it was painful for her to walk. Despite the horrible condition that she was in she has the most amazing personality. When she arrived at the vet she had to wait a few minutes in the waiting room and all she wanted to do was cuddle up with our volunteer and give kisses. She is such a lover and the gentlest little soul. 

Sweet Pea has fully recovered due to the amazing TLC she has received from her foster mom and now she is just a happy fun-loving young girl.  She does great with other dogs and is great with cats too!  Sweet Pea is a “pocket Lab”, weighing just about 35lbs.

Please consider letting her into your home. She doesn't take up much space, and all she wants is a person to love on.
