Meet Sunny! Sunny is a sweet black Lab mix that was dumped at BARC by her owner and ended up on the euthanasia list. Her owners claimed that they just didn’t have the time for her – after 6 years of her loyalty to them. Poor Sunny did nothing to end up at BARC other than be a sweet and loving companion for several years. 

Sunny is a middle age dog (about 6 years old) who is past the crazy young Lab phase and all the chewing and hyperactivity that goes along with it. So, she is essentially just a big chilled out girl that wants nothing more than to be comfortable and loved., oh, and a cushy bed to lay on would be great too. Sunny is so pretty with her black coat and white and black speckled chest and head. She is really a looker and has a sunny personality to match her name!  Sunny is great with other dogs and all people!  Sunny would likely do just fine in a home with cats as well as when she was tested with them, she totally ignored them.

When Sunny went to her foster home, her great foster dad noticed she had a significant limp.  Well, after sending her to a specialist, it was discovered that she needed an entire knee replacement!  Sweet Sunny underwent surgery and now has a brand new knee!  She’s currently undergoing rehab, but will be as good as new in no time!  Her vet said that once she is done with rehab, she should not have any further issues with her knee.
