Sparky 1

A Scout's Honor volunteer was driving to work one morning when she came across Sparky lying in the middle of the road. He had been hit by a car and was in very bad shape. She immediately called one of the Scout's Honor board members who told her to rush him to VERGI. He had a tag with his name and the phone number and his former "parents". They were called and came to VERGI but didn't want to spend a dime on trying to save his life after their carelessness landed him in the ER. So Scout's Honor stepped in and took care of his emergency care.

Sparky, who was eight months old at the time, had severe head trauma and spent two weeks recovering at the hospital. When he went home with his foster mom he was still very confused and needed many more weeks to become a playful puppy again. He's doing great now though, loves people and loves playing with his foster brothers and sister. The doc says there is a chance that Sparky could someday have a seizure from his head injuries, but it's nothing to be frightened of, he will just need medicine. He also lost the sight in one eye but that doesn't slow this little guy down at all. Sparky is looking for a very special home where he will be loved and never left to roam those dangerous city streets again.
