Meet Sophie. Sophie is a 4 month old Doberman who was lucky to find Scout's Honor today.  Poor little Sophie was brought into our emergency vet's office by her owners because she had swallowed a fish hook that was attached to a fishing line.  The people that had her actually tried to pull the fishing line to dislodge the hook.  Needless to say, that did not help matters.  The fish hook was lodged very far down in her esophagus making surgery tricky and quite expensive.  Unfortunately, Sophie's family was not able to pay for the high cost of the surgery and was having to contemplate euthanizing her.  Instead of having this sweet girl put to sleep, the owners turned her over to our vet.  Lucky for Sophie, our vet contacted us and told us about her situation and we were able to step in and help.  Sophie had surgery about a week ago and all went great and the hook was removed with minimal damage.  She is doing great and ready to find her new forever home!  Sophie was purchased from a breeder by her former owners and other than the fish hook, Sophie is a healthy, loving pup.  She is up to date on her vaccinations.  Once she fully recovers from her surgery, she will be spayed and micro-chipped as well. 

Right now what Sophie needs more than anything is a loving foster home where she can be a pup.  She is a very smart little lady and is eager to please.
