Solo

Meet Solo! He is a 5 year old Rottweiler, and weighs about 78 pounds. Poor Solo was surrendered to BARC (the Houston pound where his future was very grim) by his owner about 2 months ago.  It was obvious from his condition that he had likely been kept out in a yard and not taken care of. When we fist saw him at BARC he had an eye infection and the worst case of fleas we have ever seen. He rolled over on his back to have his belly rubbed and his tummy was just crawling with thousands of fleas. It took 4 baths in a row and an entire bottle of flea shampoo to get him clean. After his baths he felt so good, just  bouncing around and giving us  kisses every chance he got as if to say "Thank You".  He then went to the vet and got his eye taken care of and it has cleared up now. Solo is in a foster home that is giving him the attention that he craved for so long. His foster mom says he is very sweet, very cooperative, and always in good spirits. He is well mannered and doesn't mind when you clean his ears or give him medicine. He gets along great with cats, and other dogs, and is just about the friendliest guy with familiar people and strangers alike.

He enjoys being by your side and having you pay attention to him, and occasionally will sleep on the bed with you. He is potty trained and does great in the house. He is very gentle on the leash, and eating is his favorite activity! Solo has been neutered and fully vaccinated. So if you would like to give this big baby a second chance at life, come meet him and you wont be disappointed.
