Shiner

Meet Shiner!!!  Shiner and his best buddy Blackjack were found together by a nice young family out walking their dogs one day.  The family looked and looked for their family but had no luck finding them and started to worry they had been on their own for a while or possibly dumped, either way, they knew they had to jump in and help these two deserving doggies!  Shiner and Blackjack are both very sweet, easy dogs.  They are great with other dogs, cats and even young children.  Shiner is about 1-2 years old.  He weighs about 58lbs right now but as you can see from the pics, he is on the thin side and really needs to gain some weight.  Shiner has a darling, sweet personality and is energetic and loves playing with toys and other dogs, especially Blackjack.  He will make a great companion for another dog who needs a playmate, but will also be fine as an only dog.  Shiner is very treat motivated and eager to please so highly trainable and so much potential to teach him new things. Shiner loves to get out and go for walks and hikes and will make a great exercise companion.  He loves meeting new people and has never met a stranger.  Shiner is learning to walk on leash and other basic obedience and doing great – he is just a great dog.

Shiner is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix; he is 1-2 years old and weighs about 58lbs.  He is up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and been wormed; he is also up to date on heartguard and frontline.

Please email us today about fostering or adopting Shiner!  While he is close to his friend Blackjack, they do NOT need to go together and need a home or foster today!
