Friends,

Meet our sweetest boy Sam! Many of you will remember Sam as we have had him in our program for about a year now. We first rescued Sam from a shelter when his owners didn’t come for him. Then we adopted him out and they brought him back because he was having problems with his back leg. Since then, we got Sam’s leg fixed and he is all set to go now. He had a reaction to the materials used in his leg the first time and required additional surgeries to get it all fixed properly to where it didn’t bother Sam anymore. Today his leg/knee is healing and he has done hydro-therapy to get his strength back in it. He went for a final check up last week and Sam has gotten the okay to return to normal life again! *WHEW* What a journey, but completely worth it for this fabulous love of a dog!!!

We think Sam is a good ol Heinz 57 dog. Maybe some German Shepherd, definitely some Hound too. He is handsome and has a heart-shaped face (I think someone knew that would fit him just perfectly!). Whenever you are around Sam, you hear yourself keep saying “Good boy Sam”….because he is just a GOOD boy. Sam is young in years at only 3-4 years old, but he is an old soul. He has seen the ways of the world and wants nothing more than to love a human and receive the love in return. Sam is gentle, loving and patient. As you can see in the picture, he loves to give kisses while getting a belly rub!! I can’t stress how absolutely sweet this guy is!! Sam is currently 60 pounds of love & loves other dogs. Please come meet him right away, I know he will steal your heart just like he stole ours!!!

Sam is totally housetrained and is an angel in the house! He might just be the perfect dog!
