Sam 3

Hi, my name is Sam! I was named after the fictional character Sam Gamgee from the Lord of the Rings because I am so gentle! 
I am a 6 year old Staffordshire terrier. I am the most laid back guy around. Some mean person dumped me at the W 11th street park which is where I was found. I was there for several days and was just hanging around the same spot waiting for someone to come back and get me, but they never did. I would sleep next to a fence behind which two other dogs lived, I did not like feeling lonely! Lucky for me some very nice people saw me and realized that I needed some help. They came and picked me up, brought me home and took me to the vet for a check up. I had some hair loss which they told me was not mange but a skin infection that they gave me medicine for. In a few weeks it cleared up fabulously and now I have a healthy and shiny coat again.

I am living with my fantastic foster family right now and have 3 canine foster siblings that I get along great with! I go on walks to the park and I walk great on the leash and off leash. I also get along with other dog I see, I am just real placid! I just want to be by your side and be petted. I am super sweet and so laid back that I will win you over if you give me the chance. Give me a shot and you will wonder why you didn’t find me sooner.

I am just a great guy if I do say so myself!  Oh, my foster mom told me to say that I am neutered, micro-chipped (not sure what that is??) and up to date on my vaccinations (that's when my doctor pokes me - I'm good about it though).  I'm also house and crate-trained, but really - who isn't other than the babies!
