Sam

Meet Sam! Sam was one of the 250 Rottweilers that were confiscated from Gatesville, Texas. Sam was named after Sam Houston, a Texas hero. Like Sam Houston, our Sam persevered through tough times and came out victorious.  He's a big guy, but laid back & kinda skinny, though he is putting on weight.  He weighs about 90 lbs now.  Sam likes to go for walks, but he tires pretty easily, but he is going a little more each day.  He's a wonderful boy who is learning things for the first time.  If you are looking for a laid back kind of guy, Sam's your man!

The vet guesses he's about 5 years old.  He's really great about staying by himself while his foster mom is at work.  He is a little too interested in his foster mom's cat, so he is being kept apart in separate parts of the house.  So, Sam would likely do best in a home without cats.  Recently, he turned over to roll on his back for the first time, so you can tell he is loosening up and becoming comfortable knowing that he is in a safe place finally.

Sam is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.
