Saffy

Meet precious Saffy!  Saffy is a Blue Lacy/Labrador/hound mix, but inherited her Blue Lacy mama’s looks. 

Fine-boned and graceful, Saffy is a beautiful girl with a striking strawberry blond coat. While she can be a little reserved when meeting someone new, she quickly warms up and does well in outings and at the dog park.

Saffy is great with other dogs and children.  She loves to play and likes to splash in her kiddie pool. An intelligent, alert dog, Saffy learns quickly and would excel in obedience, agility, fly ball or other dog activities.  Saffy is loyal and affectionate and will make an excellent, devoted companion.

Saffy was born on born Oct. 6, 2010 and will probably weigh between 40-50 lbs. when full grown.

Blue Lacys are the official state dog of Texas and the only breed to have originated in Texas. Originally bred to drive/herd cattle and hogs on Texas ranches, they are rumored to have originated from greyhound, scent hound and coyote stock. The book, Old Yeller, is said to have been based on a Blue Lacy. Gentle, energetic and easily trained, Lacys are highly prized for their intelligence and scent-trailing/herding abilities.
