Sweet Ruben was found as a stray wandering the streets of La Porte and was picked up by animal control. This was no place for such a gentle soul as Ruben and boy was he getting anxious about getting out there....thankfully, a kind volunteer offered to foster Ruben so he could join Scout's Honor Adoption Program and get on his way to finding his forever home. You have to excuse the pound pic, as he is waay cuter in person -- new pics to come very soon. Ruben is a very sweet and loving boy. He is mostly housebroken but I think he will be completely housebroken soon. He is very smart and does come when called. He like to be close to you a lot right now but alot of that is because he is unsure of himself after being at the pound but we know he will feel more confident after a few days and with each passing day, more and more of his cute little personality peeks out at you and its always such a treat. Ruben does very well other dogs and he doesn't mind the cats at all either. But really he wants nothing more to be with his very own human and likes to keep you in his sight. He slept with us last night and was very good. We think he was someone's pet because he takes the stairs like a pro and he made himself comfortable on my sofa when we got home. Ruben is a real snuggle bug and loves to give kisses! He also walks really well on the leash. Basically, he is just the perfect little gentleman and just a big lovebug that wants a human that will love him forever. Ruben is about 2 years old and is a chi mix.
