Roxy 4

Hi! My name is Roxy! My foster parents found me standing in the middle of a really busy intersection trying to drink out of a dirty mud puddle. I heard them calling me and happily ran to them hoping they'd give me some food. While they ran into the fast food place to get me a bite to eat, I found anything and everything I could to eat; mainly rocks. Which is why I think they started calling me Roxy.

They filled my tummy with warm food and took me off to the vet. I was scared at first, but still loved giving kisses to all the people who patched me up. My foster mom told me she thought I had been run over because my right leg looked like it had a bad case of road rash. But the nice vet lady said it was just a bad skin infection. Ever since then my foster mom has been giving me "treats" (antibiotics) and my itchy infection has gone away! My foster mom also got rid of all my fleas and there were A LOT!

When she first took me home, I didn't know what to do! She kept putting things she called "toys" in my face and some kind of bowl with little rocks in it in front of me. I had no idea what to do - I'd never seen these things since I'd never been in a home; only on the streets. But man, once I figured out what "toys" were, I found out they were FUN FUN FUN! I love to carry all of my toys everywhere with me. And the bowl of rocks (my foster mom calls it dog food) is really yummy!! But my favorite thing about this "home" place is CARPET! It's so soft! I've never felt anything like it. My favorite thing in the whole world now is to lay on a little piece of carpet my foster mom put outside and carry all my toys outside with me onto my carpet.

Roxy is just a fantastic dog with so much personality! She loves people, other dogs, her toys, food, and treats. She's very well behaved and responds to many commands. She is very smart and potty trained! She seems to be a lab/pit mix possibly and has a gorgeous brindle coat. She's been spayed, is hw negative, and vaccinated.
