Please meet absolutely splendidly gorgeous Roxy!  Roxy is a uniquely beautiful girl.  She appears to be a full-bred American Pit Bull that has the coloring of a Weimaraner and beautiful golden eyes.  She is stunning. I know I am gushing, but I met this girl and was completely struck by her beauty.
 
Roxy was rescued from the pound in San Antonio, Texas after she was seized from her prior "owners" for animal cruelty.  The people who rescued her later decided she required too much attention and were actually going to put her down until a Good Samaritan (Melissa) intervened and took the dog from them.  Melissa and a friend are juggling caring for Roxy while a new home is found for her, so she is looking for a permanent loving home OR a foster!
 
Roxy is a little over 2 years old.  She knows commands, such as sit, shake, and down.  She is good with other dogs but is rather self-confident so more alpha dogs tend to go after her.  We do recommend she go to a home of her own because she tends to want to be an only dog around her humans.
 
Why should anyone adopt Roxy? She will love you unconditionally.  She is potty trained and crate trained (although she is not a fan of the crate when she knows her human is around because she wants to be with him or her).  She loves the outdoors and is looking for someone to take her hiking, trail running or play a game of fetch. She really just loves being with you. If time is short, she does well running beside you on a bicycle.
 
Roxy has serious hops and can jump a privacy fence so she would have to be carefully watched when outside.  She really just wants to be an inside dog!
