Rosie 8

Meet our little Rosie!! Rosie was turned into a local shelter as a cruelty case and was in pretty bad shape. Her owners were allowing their children to abuse Rosie and hurt her and when she growled to let them know they were hurting her, she was banished to the garage and left on a very tiny chain. She was so underweight when we got her, its clear that they were not feeding her regularly and she was so stressed and so sad...But all of that is changed now!! As you can see from her little pics, she did suffer some hair loss from being left in the sweltering heat with little food or water on a tiny chain in filthy conditions but its growing back really fast and she is looking great!!!

Rosie is now doing amazing and thriving in her new foster home. She has gained 1.5 pounds and is feeling great. Rosie is about 12 pounds now and we think she should probably weigh 14-17 once she fills out. She loves to play with other dogs and lounge around the house. Her foster doggie brother is a 2 year old chi and she doesn't mind him being hyper and dominate over her at all. In spite of the way Rosie was treated by kids, she still loves them and adores her human foster brother and all of his buddies that come to play at the house.

Rosie is also housetrained and you can just leave her on her blankie at night and she stays there until you wake her up. She loves to cuddle in your lap and be held but is not overly needy. She is learning lots of commands and is mastering "sit", "stay", "down" and "outside" too. Did we mention that she also has the cutest little grin you've ever seen, proof that this is one very happy doggie.

Rosie is a pure bred rat terrier and is about 7 years old. She is spayed, up to date on all of her shots and microchipped too. If you are interested in adopting Rosie, please contact us at info@scoutshonor.org
