Friends,

Well here they are!  One of the sweetest little families you will ever meet.  This is the pit momma and puppies from BARC.  We have named her “Dottie” because she has a dot behind each of her ears.  The puppies are Rudy (brown boy), Roone (boy), and Fly (girl).  They are all so very sweet.

Dottie was very scared and concerned for her pups yesterday when we picked her up from BARC.  However, through it all, she was gentle and sweet.  You can tell that people have not been nice to her.  When she finally got settled in with her babies, she just gently gave us all kisses.  She gives the sweetest, most gentle little kisses.  She licked one of her rescuers’ face while she was putting her collar on and licked her fingers through the bars on the way to vet.  She is so happy to be safe.

Dottie is an extra special girl.  You can see in her eyes that she has been through hell and has never known good, but somehow she knows it is out there and that she has finally found it.  When we loaded her into the crate right next to her puppies she just licked and licked them through the bars.  She was so happy they were okay. 

The puppies are about 3 months old.  As you can see from the pictures, they are cute, cute, cute!
