Rocky 1

Rocky evidently likes being around runners because he was out for his own morning run when he came across one of our volunteer’s running groups and decided to join in.  Of course, he wound up in the volunteer’s car and then at the volunteer’s house...  His owner was never found, but he thinks that is okay since he got all vetted up, gained some weight and got fixed all while living in the lap of luxury.  He is a super cool dog that is house-trained, crate-trained, and has an even temperament that allows him to get along well with his canine foster brother and sisters .   

 Like most Huskies, he does like to run and he needs exercise.  He has tried to get out of the yard - whether to really escape or he’s just bored we are not sure, but he also seems to like being part of the pack so a dog friend would be a good idea to help keep him entertained. 

Rocky is about 5-6 years old and 40 lbs.  He needs to gain a little weight and will be about 50 lbs. once he is filled out.  His personality is starting to show through and he will let out the occasional Husky howl, but he is generally a laid back, quiet dog who hangs back and waits to be invited to the party.  He walks well on the leash, loves to be brushed and LOVES to be loved.  We think he was predominately an outdoor dog in the past, but he has figured out how nice it is to be in a house with a pillow and a warm blanket.  He is not looking back! 

Rocky is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.   Also, he’s in a temp foster, but we will need a new one soon, so if you are thinking about fostering, here’s your chance!
