Rizo

Friends,

Meet sweet Rizo!  Rizo and her six little puppies were living under a house near downtown, and after a valiant effort by rescuers (including a little scuffle with a BARC animal trapper—we weren’t going to let BARC take her!), she and her pups were saved.  The puppies are all in foster homes, but sweet Rizo needs a foster!

This sweet momma was doing the best she could to fend for herself and her babies, and now it is time for her to be a pup herself.  She is a black lab mix and approximately 2 or 3 years old.  She is an absolute love bug, and everyone at the vet adores her!

One of Rizo’s eyes is deformed.  The vet is not sure how it got that way, but he says she is in no pain.  We have the option of later having surgery on it, but right now we just want her to relax and not put her through any more trauma.  Rizo agrees that we can fix it later!

Rizo appears to be good with other dogs.  We have not seen her around cats.  She holds her potty in the kennel at the vet, so we are sure she will be potty and crate trained easily (if she isn’t already).
