Meet our darling little River!! River was recently rescued from the La Porte pound where she was facing certain death..she stole the heart of one of Scout's Honor's volunteer who knew this baby had to get a second chance at life! Just look at the SMILE and this very HAPPY girl - all she needs now is a home of her very own!! We think River must have been someone's doggie and are not sure how she ended up at the pound. She is calm and loving, a little shy but is coming out of her shell. River would make an excellent dog for someone living in a townhouse or even an apartment and a great companion for another doggie or kittie.

River is a female, terrier, possibly westie mix. She weighs about 20 pounds and is 1 to 2 years old. River gets along with great with other dogs and cats too. River is full grown and will not get any larger. She is spayed, up to date on all of her shots and microchipped too. River is housetrained and crate trained too.

River is currently in Scout's Honor Rescue Adoption Program, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The adoption fee for River is $150 to help offset the costs of all of her vetting and chip.
