Poor Rio was picked up as a stray and ended up at BARC (the pound), where his age and condition made him a prime candidate for euthanasia. Sadly, older dogs rarely make it to the adoptable list. But when we saw this guy's face and met him and saw his personality, we knew we had to help him. As soon as we took him out at BARC we immediately saw how sweet he is.
Rio is very nice and likes to be close to you. He rode in the car just fine with 2 other dogs. Rio is a lab mix and weighs about 60 pounds which makes him the perfect size for snuggling. He so friendly and trots around so happy that he's safe. He even likes to play a game of catch with a tennis ball.
Please let this older guy into your heart. He deserves a second chance, and we know he will appreciate being given that chance.
