Hi! My name is Riley and my foster mom says I am the perfect dog! I spent three months at La Porte Animal Control before Scout's Honor swooped in and saved me- I was so happy to get out of there! I am about 9 months old, weigh 35lbs, and very healthy.  Heartworm negative too!  Thinking I am a shepherd lab mix with a silky smooth coat. Actually overheard someone talking about how good looking I was the other day. I am just as happy as can be. I was a little scared at first and it took a few days for me to get comfortable in my new surroundings, but now I am totally at home. I love having a bed all to myself. Sometimes I go lay in my kennel even when my foster mom is home and I don't have to be in there- it is my safe little house and all of my blankets are in there. I happily trot in there when my foster mom leaves for work in the morning. I love running in the yard and playing with toys, and I am good with my foster brother and all other dogs I've met. I am potty trained and don't have accidents in the house, but sometimes I pee pee a little when I get excited or scared. I am working on this and the vet says I will grow out of it! It also took me a while to learn to go to the bathroom on the grass instead of the patio- I had been used to the concrete floor at the pound. I have made a lot of progress and have become a wonderful pet. I love getting my belly rubbed, and I would prefer to be around you all the time, I really love my humans and I will follow you everywhere. I am a sweet doggy and I love everyone and everything. I am just dying to find my forever home, can I please be a member of your family??
