Ralphy

My name is Ralphy and I'm cute and independent standard male dachshund. Unfortunately I got separated from my family more then a month ago and ended up in the LaPorte pound. I was really lucky! My time was up at the pound when a couple of ladies volunteering for Scout Honor Rescue was down at the pound to take photos of all the dogs and as they were just about to leave, they turned around and grabbed me out of my crate and carried me in to there SUV. I got to ride in between them in the front seat and I smiled all the way in to Houston, I was safe! Since I got in to Scout Honor Rescue program I have been neutered, was given all my shots and a micro chip. Turns out I'm also heart worm negative and on preventives for both heart worms and flee and ticks!!! My age was estimated to ~ 9 years old and since I'm a doxie I probably have ~6 more years or to live. The rest of my life I would like to spend with a person or a couple preferably with out cats or kids. Apartments are very nice and it works well for me to live in one! To my for ever companion I will be very loyal and I would love to go for trips in the car as well as sleep beside you on the sofa while you watch TV! I currently live with my foster mom and dad and their one dog (also a male) in a condo in the Heights and I'm just thriving and am so happy! My foster mom says that I am a very cute "talker" that really likes to keep her up to speed on all that's been going on while she's away at work. I'm excellent on a leash and love taking walks down the boulevard. I'm also totally housetrained and stay inside all day while my foster parents are at work without any accidents. They say I am full of life and have a lot of good years ahead of me! I get along very good with my foster doggie brother too so they think I'd be good in a home with other dogs too.
