Ralphie

Meet Ralphie! Ralphie was picked up as a stray by BARC (Houston pound) and was set to be euthanized on Christmas Day! Even though he is a super cute dog who has a good personality, they were ready to write him off just as they do tons of highly adoptable dogs that have the serious misfortune of ending up at BARC. Scout's Honor saw him and he looked a lot like a dog we had rescued a couple years ago that had a heart wrenching story so we wanted to give Ralphie a second chance at life too. Poor baby had to sit at BARC through Christmas as they would not release him to us until his 3 day hold was up (on Christmas Day) at which time he was scheduled to be put to sleep. As you can see from him pictures, Ralphie had some wounds when we pulled him from BARC that he likely acquired while living on the tough streets of Houston. Ralphie is definitely not a fighter though and likely was the one who was bullied.

Ralphie is a Diamond in the Ruff! He has a wonderful disposition and gets along with the rowdiest of pups. He plays and runs around with enthusiasm outside. Inside he is an angel and lays quietly sprawled out on the floor. When he wants attention, he sits near you and wags his tail patiently. If he is not acknowledged soon enough, he softly puts a paw on your leg or foot. His kisses are soft and gentle. He is hands down one of the best pups!

Ralphie's a little guy at only about 43 pounds. He has a good temperament and would love to meet you. He's a little shy at first, but warms up pretty quickly and his tail just starts wagging. Won't you consider letting him share your home with you so he can get the love and attention he deserves. We would love nothing more than Ralphie to find a forever home to start his New Year on the right foot.
