This is Penny, the sweet girl who wandered slowly onto a volunteer's porch one
Sunday
morning a few this summer. She was starving, emaciated, and dirty, with open sores and swollen feet from chewing at her itchy skin. Desperate, she was easily coaxed through the gate to the safety of the backyard. The worst part was seeing the clear rope marks around her neck and the weakness in her legs from being tied up long enough for her to become this way. We promised her she would never be hungry and forgotten ever again.
Because of her awesome foster family, Penny has put on weight, her skin has cleared up and she's a happy girl these days! Talk about a knock out!! She's gorgeous!
Despite all the wrong done to her, she is such a sweet girl! She happily lays her big head in your lap and stares into your eyes as if she's thanking you for every little thing. Penny is a beautiful young Rottie again, and we can't wait for you to meet the real her!
Penny is currently in a great foster home where she has 2 canine foster siblings (a little dog and another Rottie - SHR alum). She does great in the house and loves to lounge around. She also rides like a perfect lady in the car.
