Meet little Pearl - and indeed she is a true gem of a dog!! Pearl was brought to the La Porte pound in January of last year when she was just a tiny puppy seized during the arrest of her then-owner......over the past year, poor little Pearl has been caught up in a web of bureaucracy and has called the La Porte pound her home until last week when the judge FINALLY signed the order terminating her previous owners rights and allowing her poor little Pearl to finally be rescued!! Pearl is a very sweet little black chow mix, she weighs 43 pounds, she is very social and submissive and does very well with other dogs. She is totally housetrained and is very, very well-behaved. I have not had a single problem with her chewing or digging --- She is really just the perfect dog!! All she needs now is a family of her own!! She is full grown and will not get any larger. She has had all of her shots, has been spayed and is micro-chipped too!! She is also heartworm negative and is currently on heartworm preventative and flea control.
