While my husband and I were walking around downtown yesterday we found this sweet little thing trying to get food out of a turned-over garbage can. She is about 12 to 15 pounds. I think she may be a spitz mix, without all the long hair. She was very scared when we got picked her up, but finally took to the leash I was carrying (fancy that, I walk around with an extra leash) and trotted around downtown with us. I have named her Ouisie (“Wee-Zee”). She is super sweet and potty trained. Even though she was scared when I brought her home and gave her a bath, she was very docile and let me do what I needed to do to pretty her up as much as I could. She has a scar around her neck like she had been tied up with a rope. It is very sad. She was quiet all night. All she wants to do is cuddle up in your lap. I currently have Ouisie at our vet getting checked out and getting her shots. However, I need a foster home for this little girl until I can find her a permanent home. She is great with other dogs and with cats. Although she is timid at first, she opens up once she feels safe.
