Cuteness alert!! Meet “The Littles” Oscar and Sandy! These little darlings were found as strays. Although we looked for the owners, their rescuer feels like this dynamic duo may have been dumped. Oscar is a cutie patootie dachshund, and Sandy is a sweet Pekingese. They are a little older (around 7 or 8 years old) and are very attached to each other, so we are trying to place them together. They are super easy dogs, so we hope that will be possible!
Oscar and Sandy love their walks and love to play with each other. Sandy is the bossy one when they play, and they act like puppies. They are housetrained and take the stairs like pros. They are learning how to use the dog door. Oscar loves to play with soft toys, especially if they are bigger than him. We don’t think they had a backyard before, and Oscar loves to chase squirrels and birds. Oscar is a total couch potato and likes to watch TV with us at night. Sandy has to know everything going on in the house so she can only be a couch potato for a short time.
Oscar and Sandy are well mannered and listen well. They sleep together on their dog bed all night and don't make a sound. They get along with their four-legged foster siblings, and neither one has reacted to the cats.
We think Oscar and Sandy would be fine with older children but not younger ones that would want to pick them up.
They are both super loving and sweet dogs and, again, are very bonded so they need to stay together. They are both fully vetted. Oscar is on a diet, and he has also recently had a dental so his breath is all minty fresh and clean. J
