Little Opie had a guardian angel looking after him the day we went to BARC to pull another dog. Opie had been picked up as a stray and was not adjusting well to being at the pound at all. He was terrified and we soon learned that he had actually been picked up by animal control with his friend (the dog we were pulling). We learned this after walking the dog we were rescuing by a run that Opie was in and he starting going crazy, jumping around, whining and trying desperately to dig out of the run. Well, we soon learned that he was slated for euthanasia the next day and we had to act fast to get him out of harm's way.
We did and he's safe in Scout's Honor Rescue's program now. He would really love to be in a loving forever home!
He's just too dang cute with his little self and friendly personality. He wants nothing more than to be curled up next to you. He seems just fine with other dogs and is well-behaved.
