Meet our newest addition-Oliver2.
This poor boy was part of a hoarding situation. He is probably around 8 years old and has lived in a dining room for years. He was rarely allowed outside because the person could not afford heartworm preventative. She did care about her dogs but just did not have the means to take care of them.
As you can see this poor boy has a huge mass on his shoulder. Initial results lead to lipoma but It is really impairing his ability to move. We cannot leave it and just allow it to continue.
The vet estimates the mass weighs close to 8 pounds, the LARGEST ONE he has EVER SEEN!!!!!! He did say it will be a hard and messy surgery, may need to see a soft tissue specialist. But we know we have to give this boy his chance to have happiness.
As soon as he got to his foster he happily explored the yard and even tried to chase a squirrel.Don’t worry the squirrel got away but Oliver2 sure thought that was fun,
