Hi, my name is Oliver, but some call me "Little O".
I was given this name in honor of Oliver Twist. I too was a poor sweet boy who was living on the streets, dirty and hungry. Some nice people spotted me living underneath a trailer on a construction site, but unfortunately I wasn't getting union benefits. They noticed how hungry I was and how tough my life was and called Scout's Honor Rescue on my behalf. Once Scout's Honor saw the condition I was in they couldn't say no to helping me out. I was taken to the doctor for a check up and was told that my hair loss is not mange(yeah!) but due to a thyroid imbalance and anemia. Luckily I was told that they could fix me up and make me a pretty boy again. I don't know exactly what type of dog I am but people tell me that I look like the dog from Little Orphan Annie. I have been eating good now and I weigh about 50-55 pounds and probably won't put on much more weight. I am a super sweet older boy (between 5-7 years old) that likes to be petted and I think I can get along with other dogs too. As you can see from my pictures, I am a handsome man who will look even better once my hair grows back (and they tell me it is!!). All I want is a home where someone can love me and treat me well, because I have missed out on love and affection for too long. Even if you can't give me a permanent home, I will take you up on being my foster parent until I can find the family that is for me. I was living at the vet's office, but now I have a great new foster home! Thanks for taking the time to learn about me. I promise that if you give me a chance I will win over your heart.
