Please meet darling Maverick and Olga! These babies do NOT need to be placed together. Maverick and Olga were found as little stray puppies, along with two other pups (Maya and Bounder). A good Samaritan rescued them, and we took them into the program.
When we found them, they had mange and open sores all over their bodies. After some serious love and care by a wonderful foster, these two kiddos are adorable and happy little puppies and are ready for their new homes.
We believe that these babies are Jack Russell Terrier/Pit/Terrier mixes. They are about 12 weeks old and each weighs 20 pounds. They are great pups! They sleep all night in their kennel without a peep. Both are a smidge bossy with smaller dogs, so should probably be in a home with bigger dogs that will put them in their place. They do love people and other dogs, and they don't pay a lick of attention to squirrels and cats.
There has only been an occasional accident in the house, and they are good about not going in their kennel.
As you can see by the pictures, Maverick (stand-up ears) has possibly the biggest ears known to dog, and they seem to keep growing along with him. He makes good eye contact and seeks your approval.
And foster mom says Olga (floppy ears) would really like a different name because she comes more to "Maverick" than she does "Olga." She is the more shy of the two and likes to sit on your lap at the end of a long day and watch TV.
They both are good during their baths and, after, love to be wrapped up in a fluffy towel and held.
