Nola

Meet Nola,

Nola was found roaming the mean streets of Houston covered in filth and blood.  She was turned into the Houston pound and was obviously scared and in pain. Then her kennel mate started bullying her. This poor girl, at only 6 months old has never once received love.  The vet that initially saw her said it was the worst case of mange and infection she had ever seen. Once she was sprung by Scout's Honor Rescue, just hours before her time was up - her true nature came through.   Even covered in filth, dried blood and not able move without bleeding and whining in pain from the smallest movements, she would still wag her tail and give little kisses.  This little girl is desperate for love and will do anything to show it.

We've named her NOLA for the "Rebirth after Destruction" spirit of our neighbors in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. 

This little girl is a fighter and loves hard despite the very short, terrible life she has had up to this point.  It's only up from here!  Welcome to your new family
