Nino

Meet Nino!

Nino is a little Rottweiler that we got from BARC after his crappy owners dumped him there. Why is he little? Because he was just a baby at about 8 months old and only weighed about 30 lbs. Poor Nino was turned in by his owners, missing a lot of hair on his body and almost all the hair on his face. All the hair loss was from Demodectic Mange, which is not contagious, easily treated and inexpensive to treat. We still never understand how someone can let their dog get like that when it is so easy to fix and NOT contagious. Would you let your kid lose all his hair without going to the doctor?? Despite his initial rough looking exterior, he has a heart of gold. He didn't even act like there was a thing wrong with him when we first got him despite how bad he looked. He just wanted to play and love on anyone who would pay attention to him. He has plenty of energy and loves to play with toys and likes any dog he meets. He's just a pup after all!!

Well, Nino is about a year old now and he has gotten bigger. He has filled out though and now weighs about 75lbs or so. He's a big boy, and what a teddy bear!!  All of his hair has grown back and he is a super handsome boy now. He is a sweetheart and loves to play and get attention. He's got a great personality and is smart too! He's great with other dogs of all sizes and kiddos too. He would be a great family pet!  Look at that face!!

Nino is in a great foster home where he has other canine siblings and kiddos to play with.  He is an easy-going kind of guy.  While he loves to play, he also loves to just lounge around. He would make an ideal pet for a family!
