Napoleon

Labrador Retriever / Pointer / Mixed (medium coat) • Male • Young • Medium

**Courtesy Post**

Napoleon’s mama was rescued off the street when she was pregnant by a kind hearted, but ill equipped young adult.  Napoleon was the only one of the puppies who did not get adopted out.

He & his mama lived exclusively outside for the first 3 years of his life.  They had shelter, food & water.  And although they were not physically abused in any way, they also did not receive any human affection.

The owner of the house recently listed the house for sale.  When the house sold faster than they expected it to, there was a scramble to figure out what to do with Napoleon & his mama.  The SPCA took his mama but did not have room for Napoleon too.

Napoleon is fully house trained and crate trained.  He is neutered.  He is up to date on all shots.  He has tested positive for heart worms & is undergoing a soft kill treatment.  Potential adopters be advised that his treatment has already started, & all that is required is to administer a topical medicine every 2 weeks, then re-test in a few months, which the previous owner will happily pay for.

Napoleon is kid friendly, & loves being with other dogs sized medium & up.  He would also do well as an only dog.

Human affection is something he has really grown to love.  He is sweet, loyal, playful, & affectionate.  He is eager to please & is just as happy relaxing with a human on the couch as he is running around with other pups.

He weighs about 56 lbs.  He stands about 25” tall, & measures about 40” from the tip of his nose to the base of his tail.  He is learning about toys & he loves them.  He has a martingale collar, a leash, a crate & a bed.
