Nacho

Meet little Nacho!! He also recently joined the SHR program after his previous owner decided he was getting too old to take care of him (or his sibling Rufus) anymore. For the last year, Nacho had been in the care of a kind man that is homeless. Nacho's first owner was homeless too and decided to go live at a shelter, so he couldn't take Nacho, which is how he came to be with the soul that has been taking care of him since. He has taken good care of this sweet boy, but decided that it was time for Nacho (and Rufus) to find a home off the streets. Life out there is harder for some that others. Nacho's skin did not do well out in that heat and he has lost a lot of hair all over his body. The good new is that it just an allergy to the fleas and severe heat. Staying out there with his human, meant never getting better. This is how Nacho just came to be with us as well.

Nacho is a 2 year old Chihauhua mix (maybe with Pug). He is happy and snuggled in at a foster and getting some much needed relief for his skin, which is now healed. Life is pretty good these days and he sure is loving snuggling on the couch and sleeping in bed with his foster Mom and siblings each night! And when foster Mom gets home from work each day, Nacho is over-the-moon happy to see her and greats her with a lot of butt wiggles and smiles. Nacho is all about his human and bonds very quickly to his caretaker. He loves long walks and snuggling up with you for an afternoon nap, or a long night's sleep. He is great with other dogs, as well as cats! He weighs about 9 pounds. He's a little chunk right now, but that's because his person made sure he ate before anyone.

Nacho has been going to doggie day care a couple of days a week. He loves running around with all the other dogs, but sure is happy to see Mom when she picks him up. Because Nacho bonds so strongly to one person, we think he would be better in a home without kids. A nice quiet home is what he is looking for.

Please come meet this awesome little man today!!! He is house trained and easy-peasy around the house! All he wants is a lap to curl up in!
