Monk is an amazing boy whose world has been turned upside down.  His dad passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly and his mom is very uncertain about what she is going to do so has decided to rehome Monk and his brother, Travis.  These two boys don't have long to find a foster or forever home before they will have to go to boarding.  They have never spent a day in boarding and after the tragedy of losing their dad, we truly do not want to make them go to boarding. 

Monk is approximately 5 years old and incredibly smart.  He always has a smile on his face and loves everyone, including kids.  He is good with the neighbor's dogs but has not had much experience being the "social butterfly" he longs to be.  He is a fast learner so fine tuning his obedience skills should be a snap.  His dad worked 2 jobs and though he loved his boys he did not have as much time for the boys as they deserved.

Monk loves to go for walks and the better the walk the better the dog, Monk will be.   He also loves to play with his toys.  Most of his life has been spent chasing squirrels in the backyard or playing with his brother, Travis.  His friend and Scout Honor's volunteer knows that he can make the transition to real family pet and is more than willing to help in anyway she can. 

Monk and his brother do not have to go to the same house (but it would be wonderful if they could) as long as they both get what they need, which for Monk is an adoptee that will love him, teach him, play with him and exercise him.
