Lady is an approximately one-year-old, long-haired Dachshund mix; she weighs 13 lbs. It appears this little one had a rough life until now—x-rays revealed multiple pelvic wall (healed) fractures due to some type of trauma.

When Lady was found, she would not approach her rescuer, instead running away and uncontrollably shaking. Once the woman sat in the street and gained her trust, Lady timidly approached acting fearful as to what human hands would do. But, Lady’s demeanor changed as soon as she was in the car and getting love from humans and giggling kids. She started wagging her behind and kissing everyone nonstop. Her matted hair was filled with sticker burrows so she went straight to the vet for a warm bath, yummy food and evaluation.

Lady is in an awesome foster home with other dogs about her size. She loves to play and interact with the pack; she is a submissive girl and just wants to get along and have fun.
