We just got Minnie's DNA results in and TADA-  She is a Lab / Collie Mix!  All our guessing has been wrong all along.  Minnie is right around 40 pounds, 18 months old and now we know the Lab in her is the reason for her always happy-go-lucky  way! She is pint sized and full of personality! Her way of knowing when her family needs something and her intelligence beyond her silliness, likely comes from the Collie in her.

 

Minnie was found running along HWY45 by a Scout’s Honor volunteer in Summer 2012 as just a puppy. Luckily, she ran up to him and needed very little coaxing to get into his car! The frayed cable tied around her neck suggested she had broken free from a bad situation and was probably going to hitchhike her way to a more attentive home.  And she did!

 

Minnie is a social girl who hasn't met a person or dog that she didn't like. She loves to play and has an inquisitive nature which sometimes gets her into trouble. Minnie still has a lot of puppy in her, but her foster family is working on teaching her some manners. She is a joyful, sweet girl and will provide her future family with lots of unconditional love and laughter.  This has been a 2 year in a row honorary host at the Dog Show and she was a hit!  Greeting people and other dogs are her specialty.  Please let her bring some happiness into your home!
