PLEASE HELP US FIND SHELBY AND MERCY A FOREVER HOME!!

Shelby and Mercy have a very sad story. Their owner passed away last week unexpectedly, leaving them both homeless. They wound up at BARC and were saved with only one day to spare! These two sweethearts have been through a lot over the past two weeks and need some TLC and a new forever home where they can get the love and attention they so deserve. Please consider opening your heart and home to one or both of these sweet girls!

Mercy: Mercy is a chow mix that is approximately 10-12 years old. I feel certain someone's heart will break for her and give her the last bit of time she has here in a comfy home with lots of love. She weighs 47 pounds and is a gentle, sweet soul. Mercy was a stray many years ago who wandered into her owner's home. She became part of his family and is now looking for a new family where she can spend her final years. Mercy is very sweet and loves to lay around and relax. She's a slow mover and her eyesight and hearing aren't what they used to be (can you blame her? she has lived a great, full life!), but she's gentle and sweet and wags her tail to let you know she's happy. She enjoys having her head and ears rubbed and she gets along well with other dogs. Mercy is house broken and is an easy girl to care for and love!
