Born November 2009, Max was found as a stray wandering the Post Oak area with his bigger brother, Buster. Both puppies were in poor condition with a severe case of mange and suffering the effects of malnourishment. Max was in the worse shape of the two and could barely walk. For the first week after they were rescued, both puppies would huddle in their pen, terrified of people. What a difference some healthy meals and a lot of TLC make. Despite such a rough beginning, Max is now a happy, healthy, sweet-natured boy weighing about 40 lbs. While he enjoys playing with his brother and the other dogs in the household, his energy level is moderate and he’ll do just fine in a less active household. He enjoys sunning himself in the back yard and cuddling next to you to watch t.v. Max is still a bit shy when first meeting new people and will need a little time to settle into a new environment; however, with a little patience and a lot of love he will become an exceptionally loving and loyal companion. Max has distinctive markings -- white feet and a white blaze on his chest, making him look like he’s dressed in a tuxedo for a formal evening out. His appearance fits his personality as Max is a perfect little gentleman. Max is crate trained and does extremely well with other dogs. He is current with all his shots and has been neutered and micro-chipped.
