Maggie Mae's story is a sad one and one we are coming across all too often lately. Maggie Mae is a 7 year old Rottweiler that has been displaced due to a divorce. Maggie Mae's owners divorced and the husband who fought for custody of Maggie Mae has now decided that he no longer wants her after 7 years and was going to take her to the pound. Unfortunately, the wife had to move into an apartment complex after the divorce and is unable to take Maggie Mae due to her size and the apartment's restrictions. She was just distraught that her husband has now decided he no longer wants her after they had had her since she was 3 months old.
Maggie Mae is a wonderful girl and would make a fantastic addition to someone's family! She is housetrained, gets along with kids (she was raised with small children who used to ride on her back as little kids), dogs and cats - what more could you ask for! Maggie Mae is also in great health, spayed and heartworm negative (we don't see that often!).
This poor girl has no idea what is going on, going from a family that cared for her for so long, to a kennel where she will stay until we can locate a foster or permanent home for Maggie Mae. Please consider adopting Maggie Mae, and giving her a new permanent home so loosing her long time family will not be as tough on her.
