Maggie 3

Meet Sweet Maggie (f/k/a Happy)! Maggie is a black and white border collie mix that is one of the 16 dogs that Scout’s Honor pulled from BARC. She was found as stray and had been at BARC since Christmas. Poor baby! She is such a sweet girl and is looking for a home or foster! Maggie is approximately one-year old, and she is full of puppy energy and puppy love. She adores people and other dogs, and we really think she needs to be in a home with another dog who loves to play or in an active family that would include her in outings. Maggie is great in her crate. She went to a temporary weekend foster home, and she learned how to sit. She is very eager to please. Because she is so exuberant, her temporary foster dad thought that she would go nuts the first time he tried to feed her, but when he put the food down in front of her, she just sat there as if disbelieving that it was for her and that someone could be so nice and just give her food of her very own. Maggie is an active girl and would probably be great for a runner or other active person. She is just a wonderful dog. She just needs someone willing to give her lots of time, love, and patience until she learns what it is like to live in a real home of her own. When she went to PetsMart adoptions for the first time, she was the perfect lady in her crate. While the other dogs were barking up a storm around her, she sat quietly and sweetly with her head on her pillow. She really is a sweetheart!
