Maddy 2

Meet marvelous Maddy!!!! This sweet girl is a small to medium sized mix that snuck into the hearts of STLRR Volunteers when she was just 8 weeks of age. Maddy was in Montgomery County Animal Control scheduled for euthanization when an STLRR Volunteer saw her bouncing around on just 3 legs while the other hung loosely with what was obviously a broken leg. To make a long story short, Maddy was pampered (to say the least!) for many months in an STLRR foster home after many people from around the Houston area donated towards the care of her broken leg. She was adopted out into what was thought to be the perfect home but unfortunately Maddy's new home did not follow through on Maddy's training and she was returned just a few months ago. Since arriving back in the STLRR program it has been decided that none of Maddy's supposed behaviour issues were of any fault of her own. Maddy's absolute sweet disposition has won the hearts once again in her foster home. Maddy is only 2 years old and of course still has lots of puppy in her! Maddy is completely and totally at home, she is crate trained & housetrained and looks forward to snuggling and playing with the 8 year old child in her foster home - she loves kids! Maddy has grown up with cats and does well playing with other dogs and children. This girl is truly a gem. Give Maddy a few stuffed toys to carry around (at the same time of course!) or toss a ball around the yard for her and she as happy as can be. Maddy will also alert you to visitors to your home.
