Lilly is a petite black and white American Pit Bull Terrier. Lilly was rescued from the Missouri City shelter where she was scheduled to be euthanized because of her breed. A well intentioned rescuer pulled her in the nick of time. Lilly was covered in ticks and was very underweight when she was rescued. Lilly got needed medical care and was spayed.

Lilly’s rescuer already had a full house so at a very impressionable age of 6-7 months Lilly ended up in a boarding kennel where she lived for the last four months with very few outings.  The kennel owner recognized how much love Lilly had to give and alerted a Scouts’ Honor volunteer who coordinated Lilly’s transfer into a foster home where she is thriving.

Lilly is now about 1 year old and is quite dainty for her breed. She weighs about 35 pounds but is still a bit underweight and will likely weigh closer to 40 pounds. Lilly is a deliciously sweet girl. Who can resist such a sweet puppy face? Now that Lilly is in her new foster home, she is working on her manners and is a quick learner.  Even though spending her formative months in a kennel Lilly is reasonably confident and is not fearful of humans or new experiences (vacuum cleaner didn‘t eve phase her). Lilly plays well with other dogs after a brief introduction. After the intro it is only a matter of minutes and she relaxes and is ready to play. Lilly has lots of energy but settles down nicely when her foster wants some down time. 

All in all Lilly is a complete package, sweet, cute, not too big, very smart, with an endless amount of love to give unconditionally to the right forever family.
