You may remember our trio, Lexie, Chiltie and Gordie. Well, they are all 3 still looking for their forever homes! Lexie, along with her two brothers, were rescued in the northwest part of Houston where they were dumped. They were left to fend for themselves. Their mom was dumped with them as well and she was blond like Gordie, but unfortunately she was picked up by animal control before anyone could get to her and was euthanized. Luckily, a kind lady in the community noticed the siblings and began feeding them and gained their trust. That's when Scout's Honor Rescue stepped in and with the help of a wonderful volunteer, they were taken to safety.
Lexie is an absolute doll and may remind you of a fraggle from Fraggle Rock! She gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. She is totally house-trained and well behaved. She also walks well on a leash. She's very sweet, but a tad bit shy. Who can blame this baby girl for being on the shy side after being dumped by some horrible person to just fend for herself and then losing her mom? She does warm up quickly though once she’s comfortable (she’s so comfortable with her foster mom that she climbs in bed and sleeps with her each night!). Once she warms up to you she loves to cuddle! She weighs about 45-50 lbs, is spayed, comes fully vetted and micro-chipped. We believe she is around 1 to 1 1/2 years old.
