Leela

Meet Leela!  Leela is an 8 year old red & white Pit.  After all the loyal years of service to her family, she was dumped at animal control when they found out they were having a baby.  Leela is sweet, good with other dogs (prefers non-bonkers though!) & fully vetted. She had lost a bunch of weight from being at the shelter so long (months!) but has been gaining steadily since in our program. These senior dogs are the easiest ones to foster and make the best pets. They just want to be at your feet and get a little head pat. I mean- who can really surrender their dog of 8 years?? I am still amazed after years of doing this. PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING HER!

Like other ladies of an elder age, she really likes long walks & stretching out on the couch to watch the favorite family shows with you each night.  She is house trained & loves, loves, loves to play fetch!  When she gets tired, instead of bringing the ball back again, she takes it with her to the couch or her bed and goes to sleep with it in between her paws. Her new dream home will have lots of tennis balls, a comfy bed (or a couch she is allowed to get on with you) and some good old fashion company.
