Leah 1

She is a very sweet girl.  She was found on Christmas Eve with two puppies of her own… (Laura maybe you can fill in the details better).  She is an extremely grateful girl and will want to please you as much as she can as her way of thanking you for the opportunity for a better life.

Leah can be very shy and even scared at first but once she sees it’s safe, be prepared to become her pillow.  Even though she is a 47lbs girl, she has some kind of lapdog syndrome.  She will curl up in your lap whether it’s comfortable for you or not, or if you are relaxing on the sofa or busy in front of your computer, but how can you resist such a sweet face?

She is very energetic, great with other dogs (not too good with territorial dogs, she is too scared of them), great with children, a little scared of toddlers but will stay still and let them pet her if assured that it’s fine.  She loves to run.  She’s a little black gazelle that won’t get tired, so if you are a runner or want to get ready for the Houston Marathon and need a little motivation/coach, this is the dog for you.  She is house broken, can walk on a leash and knows the basic commands. Since we don’t know her past she needs a lot of patience and love when it comes to discipline.  She can get very scared if spoken to in the wrong way.

She is not aggressive at all, but when excited and happy will give a big smile that can be mistaken as an aggressive sign.  It’s weird at first but really funny once you get used to it.
