Meet Lars!

Lars has all the characteristics of a young Rottie male - active, loving and happy. He will play ball or stop for attention and lean on you with a big grin while you rub his back. If you're looking for a cuddle bear, this dude's for you.

Lars was on the euthanasia list at BARC when Scout's Honor saved him. The city found him in a rough neighborhood in awful condition. Since he was such a sweet boy, the workers contacted our volunteers to get this boy in a home. He demonstrated love even under those horrible circumstances, crawling into our volunteer's lap. You see, no one has told him he's not a lap dog. Then, he jumped right in the car and rode calmly to the vet's office. He had a painful bacterial skin infection, with open sores and missing most of his hair. Poor Lars scratched until he bled.

Now he's received awesome medical care and attention. Lars has left the neglected life and has recovered well. This handsome boy is about 2 1/2 years old and weighs 90 lbs. He would do great in home where he could get focused love and some obedience training. He is smart and knows how to sit and wait for treats; he learns fast. Lars is even-tempered, great with other dogs, and ready for a home of his own. Right now he is in boarding.
